A Circuit court in  Wa Has ordered for the destruction of 648 parcels suspected to be indian Hemp

The parcels worth over 600 000 Ghana Cedis were seized by the joint team drawn from the NACOB unit of the Ghana Police Service around Hamile, a border community in the Lambusie District of the Upper West Region.

Assistant state attorney Madam Miriam Amoako told the media that the police secured a court order for the destruction of the substance after a forensic test confirmed its origin.

In addition, she praised the Ghana Police Service for their efforts in helping prevent the further importation of these substances

“We like to commend the police for bringing this to attention on time so that this procedure can take place”.
