
Price of Cement hasshot up from Ghc85 to Ghc100 in November’s Pricing Window.
The Development was blamed on the Increase in Value of the Dollar, some Traders of Cement explained that we imported raw materials such as clinker has shot up in prices and as a result has triggered the increase in prices. They also blamed the increment on taxes.
A Dollar currently sells at Gh₵13.5 per Bank of Ghana’s Rate and per online Records which aren’t Reliable, it trades at Gh₵14.10.
Checks at Bunas Company Limited on the Wa Poly Street revealed that prices were at Gh₵95 as at 12pm 8th of November 2022.
Some Shops in Kambali were also selling at Gh₵98 whilst few in Bamahu and in the Heart of Wa were selling at Gh₵100 and Gh₵105.
Prices have been projected to go up further should the dollar Rate shoot up in weeks to come.
