A Thirteen-Member Board of Governors to steer the affairs of the Han Senior High School has been inaugurated.
The Board has Thomas Tengan Wienaa as the Chairman of the Board.
Other members are Razak L. Abdul Korah, Huudu Abdulkaadi Kunaateh, Bayeldeng Lazarus, Angso Eugene, Yeng Joseph T and Bobdaar Ruffinus.
The rest are Sam Dakurah, Bayuo Paschal, Hon Dabuo Felix, Dabine Gilbert, Balonne Emmanuel and Banaa Mahammed.
The Board was inaugurated at the school on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. This is the first of its kind after the establishment of the school some eleven (11) years ago.
Headmaster of the school, Angso Eugene speaking to Jirapa Fm after the inauguration mentioned some challenges of the school and appealed to government and other stakeholders to come to the aid of the school.
‘‘The school is facing a lot of challenges but our main challenges are inadequate classrooms, electricity, water and marker boards. Even primary and junior schools are now using marker boards but Han Senior High is yet to. The school lacked furniture too…’’
Chairman of the Board, Thomas Tengan Wienaa says the board will work hard to address some of the challenges outlined by the headmaster.
