Abdul Rashid Issah( Minister) is a development reporter who has passion for media works and Journalism, he is one of the few Journalists from the Upper West Region who has climbed the height to establish himself academically as a unique and resource oriented Journalist in the Upper West Region.

Traveling from Hamile to Accra, about 805kilometers to chase his dream which has finally come to reality is worth commending. His achievement will bridge the communication and Media Reporting gap in the Upper West Region and Ghana at large.

Today is a great day!

On Saturday the 15th of April 2023, I successfully graduated from the University of Media, Arts, and Communication (Unimac-GIJ) with BA in Communication Studies (Journalism option) Ghana Institute of Journalism

As a village boy who traveled from Hamile, Upper West Region to the Nation capital and essay this journey. I believe strongly that it’s a day to applaud my industriousness, dedication, and perseverance. I have overcome challenges and impediments to getting to this juncture, in all I sing the praises of Allah.

It hasn’t been an easy journey but by the grace of Allah I was able to complete the journey and it has shaped my life in myriad ways. I have made chums and created solid networks with persons within and outside. The experience, and skills cultivated will go a long way to profit our future endeavors.

On this note, I want to say Gramercy to Allah, my parents, my assiduous and caring wife, friends, supervisors, well-wishers, and all the gracious people who funded me in time of need for their relentless support that helped me accomplish this climacteric.

I want to congratulate all fresh graduates of Unimac-GIJ, extremely the class of Journalism. Indeed, today is a frabjous day! I pray for Allah’s guidance to complete the next journey I am embarking on successfully.

Advice: Always remember that you have the proficiency and knowledge to accomplish anything you set your mind to. Never throw in the towel, persevere and you shall conquer. You are capable!!

I am appreciative of all the people who supported me in the course of this journey.
