The Municipal Capital Executive of Wa, Hon. Issahaku Tahiru Moomin has explained why street lightening System in Bamahu through to SD Dombo University is abysmal, posing a inconvenience to students using that stretch of road.
Speaking to Warris Anaakaa at Home Radio on Tuesday 2nd May 2023, the MCE indicated that an independent transformer that controls all streetlight polls from bamahu to SDD-UBIDS have developed a fault and is yet to be fixed by VRA Staff in charge of such issues.

He added that the Wa Municipal Assembly isn’t in charge of such issues and as a result could not swiftly attend to the development when it needed their attention.
“…There is a dedicated transformer from UBIDS to Bamahu there is a dedicated transformer for the streetlight but it has developed a problem and we have called don VRA to fix them, you know with transformers, Assembly cannot touch them, after the VRA has worked in the transformer successfully, there wouldn’t be issues of lightening on the road Leading to SDD-UBIDS from Bamahu”.
Assembly Member for the area, Hon. Adams Yahaya Jiga has also assured Residents of his commitment to getting the lightening issues addressed.
