All Technical Institutes or Second Cycle Schools have been made autonomous away from the Ghana Education Service and this was part of the Pre Tertiary Bill Passed by the Government of Ghana.

The Development was necessitated in order to prioritize technical and Vocational Education in order to create jobs and boost the economic returns of the country.

Management of the School paid a courtesy call on the Nakore Naa’s Palace to deliberate on possible ways to help develop the school.

The Nakore Technical Institute was established over a decade ago in Nakore and currently operates in some container shops close to Nakore And few meters Away from the Office of the Electoral Commission, Wa Area Office.

There are slots opened for Admissions and the school is part of the TVET Schools of the Region including Wa Technical Institute and Naa Momori Technical Institute.

Some Programs Offered at the School Include:

Weaving, Hairdressing, Fashion Design Technology, Wood Construction Technology, Furniture Design and Technology, Building and Construction Technology, Multi Media Technology (TV, Film Production), Computer Hardware Technology, Graphic Design.
