A young man from Konkuo, a section of Jirapa in the Upper West Region of Ghana has been shot dead.

One person has been arrested in connection with the murder.

The victim, said to be his early 20s and identified as Morris Puorizuma was found dead with gun-visited wounds between near ”JiSec”.

The mother of the victim who is a zoomlion worker said she was on her way to work in the early hours of day [ Saturday May 20, 2023 ] when she discovered the lifeless body of his son.

Information gathered suggested the victim was shot from the back.

Preliminary investigation by the police led to the arrest of one suspect.

According to sources, two guns were found in the room of the suspect.

Meanwhile, police have also discovered that some two goats were found tied up in an uncompleted building not far away from the scene.

The body of the victim was sent to the St. Joseph Hospital and later released to the family for burial.
