Dear Sir/Madam,
ADMISSION FEES IN PUBLIC BASIC SCHOOLS

It has come to the attention of Management that heads of some Public Basic Schools in the
Municipality are requesting that parents pay fees before their children/wards are admitted in some
schools in the Municipality. This is a very unfortunate development and all head teachers involved are directed to stop this practice immediately and refund any monies collected to this effect.

Heads of all Public Basic Schools are reminded that the policy on Free Compulsory Universal Basic
Education (FCUBE) has not changed.

Consequently no head of a Public Basic School has the right to fix and/or charge any fee for admission or anything in elation to the education of pupils in public Basic Schools.

All SISO’s are required to ensure a strict compliance of this directive.

Thank you

Fallahia Primary School
