Mr. Abdul Rahman Mei-Goro, Special Aid to the Upper West Regional Minister

The Special Aid to Upper West Regional Minister, Mr. Abdul-Rahman Mei-goro has Advocated for parents to invest in their wards Within Public Basic Schools Rather than expecting government to do everything for their children and the school.

In reaction to a pathetic situation in which some students have no Desks to sit on, he expressed concern about the lack of zeal by parents to invest in public schools.

“Parents in Public Schools will have to lift up their game. If we spend of these children, they are our future. Government can’t do all the things for us. We force ourselves to pay so much when is a private school. Public schools, once they say pay small. You will hear loud noises.”

Background

Mohaideen Abdul Hafiz

Earlier today I received my basic 7 students. They were about 37.

I have 5 dual desks currently. This means only 10 out of the 37 can get seats to sit. About 5 of the students brought their own chairs too.

When lessons start officially tomorrow and they come, I’ll tell them to go and sit and I’ll teach. They can choose to lie on the floor but I’ll still teach.

Trust me this year I won’t allow kitchen stools and benches in my class.

My duty is to teach.
