Lawra Hospital

About 24 hours ago, a release was shared about the Ordeal of Some Individuals at the Lawra Hospital and How disturbed they are concerning developments within the Public Facility.

Second Part of the Development has been released and this is what the Affected Person has for us.

IMPORTANT UPDATE.

On 4th October, 2023, I wrote on this platform complaining bitterly on how the management of Lawra Municipal Hospital failed to grant us audience when we sent a complaint to them as far back as 21st August, 2023.

Today, 11th October, 2023, the management invited us and created a very cordial atmosphere for smooth deliberations. Our complaints were amply discussed and, our discrepancies, amicably resolved.

In the principle of mutual respect and fairness, recognition of human dignity as provided for in article 15 of the 1992 constitution of Ghana, and after having been given the right platform and subsequent to the discussions, thereof, I retract my earlier post which I authored in extreme anger over their long silence on our complaint. I have personally reflected upon the diction of my write up and I must be honest that, I was too harsh and virtually abusive on the staff and management.
I therefore wish to retract that post and apologize to the staff (those, who were a party to the misunderstanding) and management at large. It was never any planned intention to malign, defame, insult or threaten the staff and management. I needed to make my point forcefully to be head but that isn’t enough a justification to cause any staff any pain or social ridicule.

Sometimes, as activists, we may go overboard as we demand to be heard. Eventually we have been heard and we are satisfied with the conclusions reached after a long crunch meeting.

We finished our meeting with lots of smiles and exchanges of pleasantries and, it is only fair, that I report back to my readers, that management has handled our complaints satisfactorily. We believe that our discussion is of mutual benefit and largely for institutional growth.

We are sincerely grateful to management of the Hospital for their commitment to working for the interest of the ordinary citizen and we encourage all stakeholders to continue to support the facility in its quest to providing quality health services.

Once again, I thank the management for their warm reception and sacrificing almost a whole day to bring finality to the issues.

Cheers!
