The Naked Bias Posturing of the DCE and Partisan Display of Institutions’ Heads in the Lambussie District.

We bring warm felicitations and fraternal greetings to the noble constituents of our beloved Constituency, Lambussie. We guess everyone is doing well despite the volatility of our dear mother Ghana under the crass incompetent Nana Addo–Bawumia administration.
Fellow constituents, as lovely citizens who uphold the tenets of democracy, we say what we see and act accordingly as law-abiding citizens.

As Martin Luther King said Injustice everywhere is a threat to Justice. The injustice in the Lambussie District particularly the Lambussie Community Day SHS is choking and we say enough is enough. Our attention has been acutely drawn to a circular about a campaign tour of the Vice President, Dr. Bawumia to the Lambussie Constituency.

We are told the venue is at the Lambussie Day SHS. Fellow constituents, this is the same place that serves as a barrier for some people to hold programs while it becomes so free for others. The principle of Animal Farm applies here, which says that “All Animals are Equal but some are More Equal than others. We do recall that the DCE, Hon.Nalure George directed the Headmaster of the above-mentioned SHS to deny the NDC a place in the school when we requested for it to host H. E John Mahama somewhere in May 2023 when he came to the constituency to campaign in the run-up to the NDC Presidential Primaries.

The DCE connived with his collaborators to blatantly deny the NDC a venue at the school’s premises with the reason that political activities are not allowed in the Senior High Schools. Today, the same DCE can permit Dr. Bawumia to use the Lambussie SHS for his campaign. So what has changed?

This is nothing more but a selective treatment.
We are by this notice sending a word of caution to the DCE and his assigns that they are treading on dangerous grounds and ought to be measured in their actions. They should be told that the institutions in the Districts are not party (NPP) properties.

These are public institutions that should be accessible to every Ghanaian citizen irrespective of political affiliations. Whoever is privileged now to head any of them must desist from abusing the powers bestowed on him and act in the interest of the people he seeks to serve.

We wish to unequivocally state without fear or contradiction that should Dr. Bawumia be allowed to use the Lambussie Community SHS for his campaign today as per the timetable, the DCE and his accomplices should not dare prevent us from using the same institutions in the future for our programs.

Whoever enacts a by-law must live by it and should not break it. We are therefore entreating the DCE, Hon. Nalure George to walk his talk. If the policy is that NDC should not hold any political activity around school premises, so shall it be for all parties.
