Late Kamaldeen Ahmed was laid to rest on the 12th of October 2023 after he was shot in line of Duty.

Two Suspects In Custody For Preparing To Commit Robbery And Attacking Police Officers.
1. The Police, on 9th October 2023, arrested two suspects for preparation to commit robbery and opening fire on Police officers at Ejura in the Ashanti Region.
2. The suspects, Alhaji Wahab Suleiman and Ibrahim Abubakari, together with one other accomplice currently on the run, opened fire on officers who were on an operation to quell a planned robbery attack on a mobile money vendor at Ejura.
3. Two of the officers sustained gunshot wounds in the process and were rushed to the hospital for medical attention. However, one of the officers, Ne 42250 General Sergeant Ahmed Kamal, unfortunately passed on.
4. The two robbery suspets who also sustained gunshat injuries from the exchange of gunfire with the Police, are receiving medical attention under Police protection whle efforts are underway to get their accomplice arrested to face justice.
5. Exhibits retrieved at the scene indlude two (2) SB shotguns, one (1) pump-action gun, six (6) live BB cartridges and one (1) used BB cartridge.
6. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the deceased officer.

On Thursday 12th October 2023, the family of the late Sergeant Kamal Ahmed and personnel of the Ghana Police Service gave him a befitting burial in Wa. The late Kamal Ahmed was known in private life as Abey. He was a serving officer of the Ghana Police Service.

He met his untimely death whilst on duty in the Ashanti Region. May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus, Ameen. We were joined at the solemn ceremony by the Minister of the Interior, Hon. Ambrose Dery (MP).
