Current Vice President of Ghana and Aspirant for the Flagbearer position of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia begun his Tour of Upper West Region In Jirapa according to his itinerary outlined by his campaign team in the region.

During his Tour he met several delegates and chiefs of Lawra, Nandom, Jirapa and Lambussie.

He was accompanied by the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Wuntimi, Upper West Regional Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, Former MP for Lawra, Mr. Anthony Karbo, Upper West Regional Chairman of NPP, SB Kangberee, Interior Minister, Lawyer Ambrose Dery etc.

Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, Wuntimi seized the opportunity to address the over 300 delegates advocating for their massive endorsement of Dr. Bawumia Ahead of the November 2023 Flagbearer race.

This was the outcome of the Special Delegates Conference of the governing NPP held in the past.
