
The member of parliament for Wa East, Dr Godfred Seidu Jasaw has made several donations to some communities across his constituency. The donations are to help beef up health infrastructure, especially community self-initiated ones to enhance quality healthcare delivery in the constituency. Some sports equipment were equally donated to support sports development at the community level.
The Constituency Chairman, Abu Baliffiamah led the constituency executives to make the donations on behalf of the member of Parliament. Beneficiary communities include:
1. Chaggu. The MP donated 20 bags of cement, 3 packets of zinc, and GHC1000.00 to support the construction of a community self-initiated delivery room. A set of jerseys and a football were also donated to the youth by the MP
2. Goripie: 30 bags of cement, 2 packets of zinc, and GHC1000.00 were donated to support the community in completing a self-initiated delivery room project. Again, a set of jerseys and a football were donated to the youth of the community
3. Manwe: the MP donated 30 bags of cement, 2 packets of zinc, and GHC1000.00 to support the community in completing its self-initiated maternity ward project
4. Tinnebe: 20 bags of cement and GHC500.00 to support the community in completing a self-initiated delivery room
5. At Buffiamah: A set of jerseys and a football were donated to the Buffiamah football club
6. Loggu: He donated 30 bags of cement and a cash sum of Ghc1000 for their maternity ward.
The community members were very satisfied with the performance of their lawmaker so far though, in opposition, and wish him well to deliver more for the constituency
Chairman Abu Baliffiamah on behalf of the MP informed the constituents that the MP is taking steps to support communities to have decent delivery rooms in all health facilities across the constituency. This is to ensure zero maternal death and infant mortality in the constituency.
