Some Experts have delved into the Recent power cuts recorded in Several parts of the Upper West Region including Wa, Nandom, Wa West, Wa East Nadowli-Kaleo and other Districts.

The Power was taken few Minutes after 8pm on the 25th of December 2023 and has since not been restored as at 11:30pm on same day.

Some Electricians who spoke to Upper West Media Team on Request for Anonymity indicated that the Power cut Popularly Known as Dumsor in Ghana was as a result of some Hardware defects and are likely to be restored the next day after the issue is fixed.

Several people have expressed shock with the day in Which the electricity Company took away power indicating the development has affected their Christmas festivities. Some businesses including Drinking Spot Operations were also affected.

The Public Utility Regulatory Commission (PURC) is yet to release a statement to that effect.
