Two People have filed to contest in the Impending NPP Parliamentary Primaries to be held in January 2024.

This includes the Incumbent Lawmaker of the Area Mr. Amidu Issahaku Chinnia also the Deputy Minister in Charge of Water Resources and Sanitation and Dr. Jabuntie Zaato.

Two in Sissaa East pick and present form to contest on NPPs ticket

Incumbent Hon Amidu Chinnia Issahaku and Dr Jebuntie Zaato.

The Incumbent Member of Parliament for Sissala East Constituency Was Deputy Upper West Regional Minister During the Party’s First Term in 2017 before he Won the Parliamentary Elections of Sissala East in December 2020. He Defeated Mr. Ridwan Abass his predecessor in the 2019 Parliamentary Primaries before he was elected.

Upper West Region has Eight Orphan Constituencies and elections were held to Select Parliamentary candidates for those constituencies, the Constituencies include Wa West, Wa East, Nadowli-Kaleo, Sissala West, Lawra, Jirapa, Dafiama-Bussie-Issa and Wa Central Constituency.
