The Wa Main Traffic Indicators have been off exposing road users to Accidents and threats.

Some Accidents have been recorded, a notable instance was on 27th of January 2024 when a fire Officer had an accident at the Point.

Several people have drawn the attention of the Wa Municipal Assembly Headed by Hon. Issahaku Tahiru Moomin and the Highway authority to assist in getting the Artificial director fixed.

The MTTD Department has assigned some officers to be present at the Traffic Joint located on the JJ Rawlings High Street to direct road users in order to avert accidents.

Assembly Member Elect for Kperisi Electoral Area, Hon Yahaya Abdul Waliu expressed concern about the development noting that the absence of a functioning traffic indicator can expose Road users to casualties.

Meanwhile, There some Notable reasons why there is delay in getting the faulty traffic indicators fixed and this includes the absence of Assembly members to Assist in getting some financial disbursements approved for the assembly to begins their works.

Without a functioning assembly composed of Assembly Members, it’ll be difficult for budgets to be passed for the Municipal Chief Executive to begin some notable projects. The District Assembly Elections were held on the 19th of December 2023.

However the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development has issued a statement indicating that the Various Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies will be Inaugurated on 12th of February 2024 after which Other Development projects can get the approval to be carried out.
