Sylvester Strived for Success on the Streets of Accra

He Traveled from Nandom in the Upper West Region to Accra to Seek for Greener Pastures and in the The Course he took it up up himself to pursue a Degree in Sociology at the University of Ghana.

In this report, Portia Gabor of TV3 tells the tale of an Okada rider who graduated with a first class degree in political science and sociology at the University of Ghana

“..My family background, we do not have let me say it that way, in fact life wasn’t that easy expecially losing my father at the age of 17 by then I was 17 and In JHS 2 somewhere in 1997, life was really hard..”

He explained how he stayed on the streets of Accra to survive.

“I was staying at the Rail ways with my first born, we were sleeping together, that is where they sell the tickets, the security man we came akd met there gave us a mosquito net, we were sleeping there until unfortunately someone csme there to steal my phone, fortunately they didn’t steal any money, I was there whilst doing dome mason works I’ll just go to the site work as a laborer carry mortar and at the end of the day the money I get I save something small..”

Sylvester is thinking of Becoming a Lawyer in Future

“My Ambition to becoming a lawyer is giving me sleepless Nights so I have to make money to further my Education..”
