Unemployed Graduates Association of Jirapa

Unemployment in several spheres is growing due to the Number of Graduates flooding the job market due to high enrollment into senior High Schools as a result of the free senior high school policy.

The Jirapa Municipality has established it’s Unemployed Graduates Association, a group that has created awe in the mindsets of several natives of the area including Mr. Da-uri Awonodomo, a culture advocate who has passion for youth development.

In his surprise message he stated

“This is where we have gotten to, “who you know” and “pay for the job”.

He expressed dismay as to why youth should pay cash for jobs or get the opportunity to be employed only if they knew a ‘big’ man at the top.

It can be recalled that in December 2023, Zion Felix was in the Jirapa Municipality. He discovered that some workers earn Ghc80 monthly for working as Sales boys or girls.
