Two Health Insurance Offices have been commissioned by CEO of National Health Insurance Authority, Dr. Oko-Boye as part of Efforts to make the Service Accessible in those Districts.

The Team was at Dafiama-Bussie-Issa District and Lawra Municipality to Commission the Buildings.

Statement from the Upper West Regional Coordinating Council(UW RCC) through the Upper West Regional Minister

On Wednesday 14th February 2024, together with the Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye we commissioned two offices of NHIA at Issa in Dafiamah/Bussie/Issa District and Lawra in Lawra Municipal.

I expect that these new offices would aid the services provided by NHIA in the region. The Upper West Region has 82% Universal Health Coverage in terms of membership which is the highest in the country. I appealed to the outgoing CEO for the construction of offices for Sissala West District, Wa East District, and Nandom Municipal.

I also requested operational vehicles for DBI, Jirapa, and Lawra. Dr. Okoe Boye has been nominated by President Nana Akufo-Addo as the Minister of Health. On behalf of the Chiefs and people of the region, I wish him well.
