Less than a week after the
murder of the CEO of Jirapa Dubai, the
municipality has had to deal with
another disaster as fire gutted several
stores and private housing facilities in
the heart of town.

The premier bet
shop and other shops closed to the
Nandom station were affected.
Though the firefighters tried their best
to salvage the situation, a lot of private properties have been lost.
Unconfirmed reports say the fire was
caused by leaking gas from a cylinder.
Owners of the affected shops have
begun counting their losses.

According to witnesses, Fire Officers Came late when damage had already been caused, the source indicated that a betting center and a wood shop was affected.

“They came late so the compound house is fully burned together with some betting center and some woods, It’s located near the round-about just some few kilometers away from the round-about, I mean Jirapa around the nandom station where people enter car from Jirapa and go to nandom..”

The Source Added that they had to engage the Nadowli-Kaleo District Fire Station to come in and Assist but that couldn’t solve the problem.

“The Jirapa fire service came and the water got finished So nadowli fire service also came but still”.
