SRC Management of SDD-UBIDS in the Wa Municipality have taken steps to regulate Activities of Tricycle Operators in the University. This is part of Measures to control fares and ensure students do not lose properties whilst patronizing their services.

SRC Transport Committee Registers Tricycles on Saturday, 17th February 2024.

The SRC Transport Committee and the Executive Committee interact with the Bamahu and adjacent area tricycle drivers association.

The purpose of the gathering is to assist in controlling the tricycle traffic on campus, ensuring student safety, and making it simple to locate misplaced belongings.

The following guidelines were outlined for the registration process: -Traffic laws – Signs – Stopping places – Preventing the use of unapproved routes
– Reasonable prices, among other things

It was approved by the Union Leadership.

Since the campus is still quite big, the goal is to assist in sending every student to every part of it.

These parties have reached an arrangement regarding an annual renewal of the memorandum of understanding.

Students will have access to the registered individuals’ contact information for transportation-related matters.

The Leadership seized the chance to provide their expression of appreciation, as they had been waiting a long time for this to happen.
They vowed to work with the SRC Transport Committee to further the advancement of the University and gave us assurances that they will always be there to support students with their transportation needs.

Students can register for their tags with the transport committee if they want to use their tricycles for personal transportation.
