He expressed regret for the decision but insisted it is for the well being of students of the school as the teams were engaged in “serious fight and pelting of stones haphazardly”
Find below the statement.
Dear Sir,
SUSPENSION OF ALL DIVISION TWO (2) FOOTBALL LEAGUE ACTIVITIES AT
THE WA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS COMPLEX
I write with pain as a football lover myself to suspend all the activities of Division Two Football Clubs at the Wa Senior High School Sports complex with effect from Monday 19th February, 2024.
This action has become necessary because of the numerous disciplinary issues their activities have on the school community. But what actually broke the female camel back was the match between Super Upper Stars and Biyad 77 Football clubs yesterday, the 18th of February, 2024.
Supporters and players of both teats, at the end of the match engaged in a serious fight and pelting of stones haphazardly.
Their action was unwarranted and uncalled for, which could have resulted in an injury on any of the students Present to watch the game. As a result, Management of the school deliberated and came to the conclusions that, all activities of the Division Two Leagues Clubs are suspended indefinitely to forestall any future injury to our students.
Counting on your usual co-operation.
Thank you.
