The Wa Main Traffic light has been out of function since November 2023. This leads to needless accidents and sometimes deaths at that junction.

I wish to make a clarion call on the duty bearers such as the Wa Municipal Chief Executive, Hon.Alhaji Issahaku Tahiru Moomen and the Upper West Regional Minister, Hon.Dr.Hafis Bin Salih to take immediate pragmatic steps to ensure that the problem is fixed to avoid more deaths.

It will be recalled that I commissioned this traffic light in April 2014, which eased carnage at that junction and gave town a face-lift.
This traffic light replaced the old and non functioning archaic traffic light at that junction.

I feel sad and disappointed over the delay in fixing the current the situation. The Wa town has grown and traffic management must be critical.
