The Lassia Tuolu SHS in Wa West District has been closed down temporarily after Fire Razed it’s Multipurpose Hall serving as a Dinning Hall of the School.

The Fire Started at 1am on Sunday, 10th March 2024 according to reports from the Upper West Regional Coordinating Council.

Statement Below:

Fire razed the multipurpose hall at Lassia-Tuolu Senior High School in Wa West District. As a result, the school has been closed. About 833 students have been sent home while we put in place measures to contain the situation. The unfortunate incident occurred at about 1 am on Sunday 10th March 2024.

Together with the Wa West DCE, the Regional Director of Education, and officials from the Ghana Police Service and Ghana National Fire Service, we were at the school to assess the situation and also to commiserate with the Headmaster, staff and students of the school.
