
The Upper West Regional Police Commander, DCOP Darko Ofei Lomotey and two other police officers are currently nursing varying degrees of injuries after they were involved in an accident.
It was gathered that Inspector Joshua Bilandam of Regional Orderly Room and General Constable Joseph Digbang of Public Affairs Unit were on board the private Toyota Hilux Double-Cabin Pick-Up with registration number GE 9002-2023 at the time of the incident.
It is gathered that the officers were returning from Nandom on an official duty with the private car of the police Chief.
On reaching a spot between Loho and Kaleo along Wa-Nandom road, the rear near side tyre burst and in the process, the vehicle became uncontrollable, veered off the road towards the offside edge of the road when facing Wa direction and eventually landed on its offside portion.
All the occupants on board the vehicle sustained varying degrees of injuries and were rushed to the Upper West Regional Hospital where they were admitted for treatment.
