A Girls Hostel of Jirapa SHS in the Jirapa Municipality has been razed by Fire according to a report filed by Huudi Yahaya, a Journalist with Jirapa FM Through the School’s PTA In a Statement Released by the School’s Parents Teachers Association on Thursday, 25th April 2024, it reads:

As the PTA Chairman of Jirapa SHS,I use this opportunity to Appeal to everybody to come to our aid,part of the Girls hostel got burnt today in the afternoon when everybody was in Class,apart from what these girls wore to class,all their belongings got burnt.Help the school with anything that you have,it could be clothing’s,cash etcSeveral Senior High Schools have been affected by fire Outbreaks in the Upper West Region Lately, some of which include, Wa Senior High Technical School, Ullo Senior High School, Eremon Senior High School, Wa Islamic SHS, Lassia Tuolu SHS and Recently, Jirapa SHS
