The issue of Fuel shortage has become a national issue after several towns in the Upper West Region have recorded shortages in days.

In the first record, There was shortage of fuel at Tumu Goil Station per reports Gathered by Bashiru Jinapor, a Journalist with Radford FM on the 31st of December 2024.

Same was recorded in Wa Township on the 31st of December, 2024 at Amadaway fuel station situated in Kambali and others in Wa Township but the situation in a way, has been minima in Wa due to the number of fuels stations in the Wa Metropolitan Capital.

On Thursday, 9th January 2024, Mr. Balu Mohammed, a Reporter with Radford Reported shortage of fuel as well in Tumu justifying the grievous nature of the development.

“Petrol shortage hits Tumu this evening”.

There is also a reported shortage of fuel in Nadowli, specifically at one of the popular fuel stations labelled petrosol close to the Nadowli District Hospital as at 2pm on Friday, 10th January 2024.

The Increasing shortage recorded in most parts of the country is blamed on the past Government’s failure to secure more reserves for the incoming government led by President Mahama.
