Price of Cement has gone up significantly in Wa and other parts of the Wa Metropolitan due to high demand for cement in the Township.

According to Agents speaking to Upper West Media Team on Sunday, 2nd February 2025, the demand was directed towards small bags of Cimaf 25kg cement due to its affordable price of Ghc85 but due to the shortage, people were compelled to go for 50kg bags of cement to aid in their construction works.

A Bag of KGM cement which was sold at Ghc105 is currently going for Ghc110 in Kpongu per checks, Safe Cement is also going for Ghc108 per reports.

Some finance experts have blamed the hikes on High Demand for construction works and Dollar rate.
