Several people in Wa have expressed dismay after intermittent power cuts popularly Known as dumsor was recorded at 9:00am and 9:18am Today. 5th March 2025.

Reasons for the Power interruption wasn’t made known by the Volta River Authority(VRA) or the Public Utilities Regularly Commission(PURC).

On Tuesday, 4th March 2025, power was interrupted resulting in Dumsor in several parts of Wa Including Parts of Kpongu, Parts of Kambali and Duori all located in Wa Metropolitan late hours at about 8pm.

The Higher Temperatures in Upper West coupled With Increasing number of Meningitis Cases being recorded including 16 Deaths have become an issue of concern with several stakeholders calling for power stability to avert health related issues such as impending cases of Meningitis resulting from excessive heat in rooms.

Meanwhile, Minister for Energy, Hon. John Jinapor has been tasked by President John Dramani Mahama to fix the intermittent power issues Accross the Country.
