A Former Municipal Chief Executive of Wa, Hon. Issahaku Nuhu Putiaha, has been appointed as Deputy CEO of Community Water Resources Agency.
Hon. Putiaha’s appointment was made known on the 26th March 2025 by President John Dramani Mahama to support the state own enterprise (SOE) with his expertise to achieve their revenue and expansion targets.
Before his appointment, he served as a national executive monitoring and evaluating together with other appointed executives during the 2024 Elections in the Ashanti Region.
He was Upper West Regional Organizer of the National Democratic Congress and Wa Central Deputy Constituency Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He was Appointed as MCE in 2013 and left office with President Mahama after his first Tenure of Office.
During his tenure in July 2015, close to 10 years ago, Local Government and Rural Development Minister, Alhaji Collins Dauda declared the Upper West Region capital Wa as the cleanest town in the country.
The Upper West Region was the focal point for this month’s National Sanitation Day exercise.
Before the National Sanitation Day exercise came in to being, Wa Municipal Chief Executive, Issahaku Nuhu Putiaha in December 2013 instituted monthly clean up exercise in the Wa municipality.
The exercise also brought along representative of registered political parties who joined the exercise thereby adding color to it.
