The Presidential Candidate of New Patriot Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has toured the Upper West Region to thank people of the Region including chiefs, Voters and Party Delegates for their support during the 2024 General Elections.

During the Tour, Dr. Bawumia was at Wa Technical Institute on Sunday, 4th May 2025 where he was accompanied by some Regional Executives of the Party including Alhaji White, Regional Secretary Dr. Tanko Daniel Dauda, Former Regional Research Officer, Campaign Coordinator of Hajia Humu Awudu, Mr. Philip Brimah, Regional Communication Officer, Mr. Nana Sadat, Wa Central Constituency Chairman, Mr. Osuman Hamid etc.

He was Accompanied by Former Manager of State Transport Company (STC) Mr. Nana Akomea, Mr. Mustapha Hamid former Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) and other National Party Executives.

Dr. Bawumia in his Speech called for Unity and focus urging party members to work in harmony devoid of Blames urging sympathizers to iron out their differences.

“We can’t attribute our 2024 presidential election lost to religious affiliation” Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia pronounced this to party leadership during his “Thank you tour” visit in the Upper West Region.

He also Toured other parts of the Region including Wa and the Sissala East Municipality and expected to cover the remaining nine Constituencies before leaving.

Dr. Bawumia, Former Vice President of Ghana lost the 2024 General Elections to John Dramani Mahama.
