Some Oil Marketing Companies including GOIL are yet to reduce Prices of Engine despite appreciation of the Dollar.

Some commercial vehyusers have blamed prices of Engine Oil as one reason why they can’t reduce fares by 15% as directed by the GPRTU.

Checks by Upper West Media Team on Wednesday, 28th May 2025 at Goil on the Ferguson CR in Wa Revealed that a litre of Engine Oil was going for Ghc60, same price sold since March 2025.

According some engine Oil dealers, a drum of Engine oil which contains 225 litres goes for 11,500 Cedis. They Urged management of Oil marketing companies to reduce engine Oil prices.

Currently the rate of Dollar to Cedis is 1 Dollar to 10 Cedis.
