A Senior Lawyer within the Upper West Region, Lawyer Clement Eledi has called for Family of Jontong Naa Mutala Tendana to be more Tactful with Upper West Regional Police Command in order to get some Forensic and Medical reports needed for a Murder Case Trial involving Abdul Halim Yahaya and Isaac Anaatakang to be Heard and finalized.

Lawyer Eledi also Urged the family to
engage a lawyer to hold a watching brief.

“The family should better be advised
to engage a lawyer to hold a
watching brief.The family should be more tactfulwith the Police. What if the results come and the results do match with that of the accused persons?”

The Murder Case was struck out of the Wa High Court over lack of Sufficient Evidence for prosecution to continue.

Principal State Attorney of Upper West Region, Lawyer Saeed Abdul blamed the Police for Delay in releasing necessary medical reports for prosecutor continue in the High court.

The Case has been transmitted back to the Wa District Court after the Suspects were rearrested and charged with Murder.

Family of Late Jontong Naa Mutala Tendana were at the Upper West Regional Police Headquarters to demand for medical reports on the Murder Case which took place in April 2024 at Suuriyiri in Wa Metropolis but according to them the Regional Police Commander, DCOP Darko Lomotey has declined to release such information or reports insisting the issue should be ironed out in court.

Family members of fifty-five-year-old coordinator of the Wa Central Customary Lands Secretariat, Alhaji Mtala Mahama, have called on then Inspector General of the Ghana Police Service, Dr. George Akufo-Dampare, to swiftly work to unravel the mystery surrounding his death.

According to the spokesperson of the family, Seidu Tampuori Iddrisu, apart from the handwritten note suspected to have been written by the murderer and handed over to the Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID), coupled with other relevant information given out, they believe that the police are well-equipped to arrest the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

Alhaji Mutala was found dead one Thursday morning in April 2024 with his throat cut, lying in a pool of blood in his room at Suuriyiri.
