A Terrible Accident occured on the Wa-Sombo Road on 1st June 2025 involving a Waste Disposal Vehicle and a Motorcycle Rider.

The Rider on a bike with Registration Number, 11 – 5632 – UW sustained severe injuries including a fractured Leg.

Attempts to get the Ambulance service wasn’t easy because the Office had an emergency and was sending a patient to the Wa Municipal Hospital per information from the Strong room.

It took the efforts of Radio Mak to get the Accident Victim to the Hospital, the General Manager, Mr. Muniru Ibrahim was contacted and he drove to the Accident Scene close to In-service Training Center to carry the Victim who is yet to be identified to the Upper West Regional Hospital.

Driver of the Waste Disposal Vehicle with Registration Number, GB 2804 – 22 as at 5pm 1st June – 2025 was asked to report to the Wa Police Station to Make a formal statement regarding the Accident.
