The Department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) of Dr. Hilla Limann Technical University (DHLTU), under the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology (FAST), is taking steps to formalize its years of informal collaboration with NoniHub, a leading innovation and entrepreneurship hub in the Upper West Region.

On 24th June 2025, a strategic meeting was held at the premises of NoniHub in Wa to review the final draft of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions. The collaboration, facilitated by FAST and led by its Dean, Dr. Enerst D. Ganaa, seeks to promote innovation, digital skills development, and practical learning experiences for students.

The CEO of NoniHub, Mr. Sumaila Chakurah, reaffirmed the hub’s commitment to supporting academic-industry partnerships that empower young people and drive regional development. Once signed, the MoU will pave the way for structured initiatives such as student internships, joint training programs, and tech-driven community projects.

This marks a significant milestone in bridging the gap between academia and the tech ecosystem in Northern Ghana.
