Mr. Hafiz Timbile, An Upcoming Lawyer Writes
Hmm.. This issue..
I remember travelling to Accra last month and there were three Nigerian girls on the bus. At some two immigration checkpoints, they took them into the tents. On both occasions, the girls returned with complaints of their monies taken by the officers, saying that GIS like money paa. That travelling in Burkina is better than in Ghana.
The first checkpoint, 400 cedis each; the second checkpoint, 200 cedis.
At the second checkpoint, I told the officer who was pulling the girls down that they were already inspected at the earlier checkpoint, and he retorted that it didn’t matter.
When I went down to ease myself, I eavesdropped one of the officers telling them to be fast and join the bus or they will keep them there like some two other girls who were sitting there with their bags since they failed to “do something”.
It’s really a sad one.
