Subject: Unfair Treatment of Hain Zone Regarding the Incomplete Market Project

We write as a traditional council of Hain to express the disappointment and frustration of many residents over the unfair treatment being meted out to our community regarding the market project.
It is worrying that the Municipal assembly is making attempts to hand over an incomplete and uncompounded market to the people of Hain Zone despite several pleas from community members, opinion leaders, and stakeholders for the project to be fully completed before commissioning.
A market is an important economic center that supports trading activities, creates jobs, and improves livelihoods. Handing over such a facility without proper completion, paving, drainage, security arrangements, and other necessary finishing works will not only inconvenience traders but may also expose users to hardship, accidents, and poor sanitation.
The people of Hain traditional area deserve the same level of development and respect given to other communities within the municipality. We cannot understand why our repeated calls for the contractor or authorities to complete the project are being ignored.
We are therefore humbly calling on the
Regional minister, Municipal Assembly, the Hon. MCE, traditional authorities, and all stakeholders to reconsider this decision and ensure that the market is fully completed before it is officially handed over for use.
Development should be done with fairness, dignity, and quality. Hain traditional area must not be treated as second-class citizens within the municipality.
We remain hopeful that our concerns will be heard and acted upon in the interest of peace, unity, and progress.
Signed:

Hain traditional council
