The Roads and Highways Minister, Hon. Kwame Agbodza has gone wild on the contractor that has been assigned to the Wenchi-Bamboi-Bole-Sawla-Wa for delaying the work after being paid over GH¢66 million as mobilization.
The Minister could not hide his disappointment when he visited parts of the road for inspection only to realize the contractor only mobilized after being informed of the Roads Minister’s visit.
In a video recorded by one Arnold Mensa Alavanyo, the Minister was seen pouring his outburst over the no show of work and has to lash out the contractor for not living up to the task despite being paid the needed funds to start the work.
Meanwhile, Concern Citizens of the Upper West Region are convening to submit a paper to the road Minister who is scheduled to visit the region as part of his monitoring exercise.
The paper is believed to have contained the grievances of the people of the Upper West Region over the delay of work on the trank (N1) road after its sod cutting ceremony took place at Sawla on November 5, 2025.
According to the Concern Citizens, it is no longer acceptable for the contract to be inactive at site five(5) months after the sod was cut, hence the need for them to express their displeasure over the sad development.
More soon.
