The newly appointed Upper West Regional Director of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Mr. Ayenga Pays Courtesy Call On Wa Mayor, Alhaji Nurah Danwana To Strengthen Service Delivery.
Mr. Clive Akapale Ayenga, has officially commenced a series of courtesy visits to key stakeholders and prominent personalities across the Upper West Region as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration, improve institutional relationships, and enhance service delivery.
The first official visit took place on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, when the Regional Director, together with some staff members of the DVLA Upper West Regional Office where he paid a courtesy call on the Mayor.
The visit was to formally introduce Mr. Clive Akapale Ayenga to the Mayor following his recent appointment as the new Regional Director of DVLA in the Upper West Region. He was accompanied by key staff of the authority, including the Regional Accountant and other officials of the department.
During the meeting, Hon. Alhaji Nura Issah Danwana warmly welcomed the Regional Director and his delegation and congratulated him on his elevation to the position of Regional Director.
The Mayor noted that Mr. Ayenga’s promotion was well deserved, considering his long years of dedication, commitment, and quality service to the people of the Upper West Region.
According to the Mayor, serving the region for over a decade before being elevated to Regional Director is a clear indication of his hard work and professionalism.
He encouraged the new Director to remain focused, disciplined, humble, and hardworking in his new office while continuing the excellent work he has been known for over the years.
“You have served the good people of Upper West Region for more than ten years, and your promotion is evidence of your dedication and good service. Continue to work hard with humility and commitment, and greater opportunities will surely come your way,” the Mayor advised.
In response, Mr. Clive Akapale Ayenga expressed appreciation to the Mayor for the warm reception and words of encouragement.
He assured the Mayor and the people of the Upper West Region that he remains committed to serving the region with dedication and professionalism.
Mr. Ayenga emphasized that his elevation to Regional Director will not change his commitment to the people, adding that as a northerner, he considers the Upper West Region as home and is determined to do even more than before.
“This is my region as a northern brother, and I am ready to contribute even more towards improving services and making DVLA operations more efficient for the people,” he stated.
The Regional Director further announced that in line with the Government’s 24-hour economy policy, the Upper West Regional Office of DVLA has begun preparations to fully implement a 24/7 service operation.
According to him, customers who visit the office with all the rightful documents and required information for vehicle or motorbike registration should not experience unnecessary delays.
He assured the public that under the new system, vehicle and motorbike registration processes can be completed within 24 hours when all requirements are met.
Mr. Ayenga noted that the initiative is intended to improve efficiency, reduce waiting time, and make DVLA services more convenient and accessible to the people.
As part of preparations toward the 24-hour service system, the Regional Director appealed to the Mayor for support in providing improved lighting and system infrastructure around the DVLA regional office to ensure effective night operations.
Responding to the appeal, Hon. Alhaji Nura Issah Danwana pledged his support to the DVLA regional office.
The Mayor assured management that efforts would be made to facilitate improved security lighting around the office and strengthen security support to enable smooth operations under the 24/7 system.
He stressed that the initiative would benefit not only the people of the Upper West Region but also contribute significantly to national development through improved public service delivery.
The courtesy visit ended successfully with both parties reaffirming their commitment to stronger collaboration, improved service delivery, and development in the Upper West Region.
