The National DRIP Coordinator Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye has commenced his tour Accross the Upper West Region to engage the various district DRIP Coordinators. The District Coordinators will give account on all vehicles and Machines allocated to each district to Mr. Nii Lante Vanderpuye.

He Was at Vieri in the Wa West District where DRIP Machines were used to fix parts of Varimperi to Vieri stretch.

He toured, Sissala West, Sissala East, Wa East, Daffiama-Bussie-Issa District, Wa West District and Lawra at at 8th – May – 2026.

The National DRIP Coordinator Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye has acted quickly to help restore movement on the Wa–Wechau road after part of it was cut off due to a sudden collapse of a culvert between Varempere and Vieri.
During his routine monitoring tour in the Upper West Region, he and his team came across the serious damage. He immediately contacted Hon. Peter Toobu, MP for Wa West, and the District Chief Executive, Hon. Richard Wulo, to take urgent action.


He then directed the Regional DRIP Coordinator to support the District Assembly with equipment so work could begin right away.
Thanks to this swift response, the Hon. DCE and the District Coordinator, Mr. Saaka Mauzu, led an emergency operation to fill the deep trench and reopen the road to traffic within 24 hours.
This quick intervention has brought relief to commuters and residents who depend on this road.

DAY 2 OF THE UPPER WEST REGION TOUR HAS ENDED.
The team, led by Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye , visited the Daffiama-Bussie-Issa, Wa East, and Sissala East Assemblies.
They met with the District Chief Executives and their teams to discuss how to keep the DRIP program running smoothly. The Chief Executives shared some of the challenges they face in delivering services effectively.
The National Coordinator stressed the importance of strong teamwork between the Assemblies and the District Roads Management Committees. He also advised that regular servicing and maintenance of the equipment should be a top priority so the program can continue to benefit the people.
The team also inspected the equipment and visited some road works and community projects where the machines are being used.

Day 3 of the Upper West Regional tour saw the team, led by the Nationl DRIP Coordinator Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye continue engagements with the Sissala West District Assembly, Lambussie District Assembly, and the Nandom Municipal Assembly.

The team interacted with the various Assemblies and inspected DRIP equipment and ongoing works aimed at improving road infrastructure and community services in the districts.

The tour continues to strengthen collaboration between the Assemblies and the DRIP management team to ensure effective service delivery and proper maintenance of equipment for the benefit of the people.

Day 4 of the Upper West Regional tour continued with visits to the Lawra Municipal Assembly, Jirapa Municipal Assembly, and the Nadowli/Kaleo District Assembly.

The team, led by the National DRIP Coordinator Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, and Director of Administration Nii Commey Otoo, also made stops at some roads and projects where DRIP equipment has been deployed to improve road access and support community development.

The tour continues to strengthen monitoring, collaboration, and the effective use of DRIP equipment across the region for the benefit of the people.
