A Driver by Name Abu Daud has assaulted a Journalist with Ghana Broadcasting Corporation today, 14th May 2026 Opposite Bank Of Africa on the Wa ieper Street in the Upper West Region.

A Long Vehicle Driven by Abu Daud veered of the road into a Gutter close to a Traffic Junction along the Wa ieper street towards Dodoo Street.

Mr. Jinsung Rashid was covering a story at the scene and in the process of granting the affected driver an interview, he slapped the GBC Reporter.

Mr. Rashid Took the Case up by reporting to the Wa Divisional Police office for legal action to be taken however after the process, the suspect by name Abu Daud engaged some dignitaries to plead on his behalf including Association leaders of Wa Fitting yard popularly known as Wa Magazine.

“The police were set to effect an arrest and he went to the chairman of Garages at magazine and was crying and begging that he should withdraw the case and solve it amicably within”

The Ghana Journalist Association headed by Mr. Prosper Kuorsoh are set to take up the issue after several Journalists have developed interest in the case.
