STAFF VACANCY

Nusrat Jahan Ahmadiyya College of Education (NJACOE) is a full-fledged public College of Education, established by the Colleges of Education Act 2012 (Act 847). NJACOE is a technical/vocational-oriented institution with the mandate to provide higher education in Science, Technical and Vocational teacher education. The College, located in Wa, Upper West Region Ghana, offers an enabling environment conducive for teaching, learning, research, faculty development, and academic success.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for appointment into the rank of Lecturers in the following areas:

A. TEACHING AREAS

English Language

Christian Religious Studies

Mechanical / Automobile

Visual Arts

Biology

LECTURER QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Must possess a Ph.D. in the relevant area of specialization.

Must have at least three (3) publications in reputable journals.

Must have at least three years teaching experience at the tertiary institution.

Teacher Education Certificate or PGDE is compulsory.

Age: Not above 45 years.

C. REMUNERATION/CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

Based on the Single Spine Pay Policy and comparable to Conditions of Service of Public Universities in Ghana.

B. NON-TEACHING POSITIONS

1. SENIOR ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN

Possess a minimum of PhD and MPhil in Library or Information Science or related field.

Must have served as an Assistant Librarian for at least 6 years.

Hold membership of a professional body in Librarianship/Information Science.

Minimum of 4 cumulative publications in recognized peer-reviewed journals.

Must be computer literate and conversant with library software.

2. DRIVER GRADE II

Must possess a minimum of Driving License D.

Must have at least three (3) BECE passes.

GCE “O” Level/WASSCE/SSCE shall be an added advantage.

Age: Not above 45 years.

3. WORKS ASSISTANT II (ELECTRICIAN)

Applicant must hold NVTI certificate or its equivalence in Electrical Engineering.

Age: Not above 45 years.
