The Ghana Education Service headed by Prof Ernest Davis has in a letter dated 3rd June 2026 has approved Lambussie SHS for a boarding status after it was established over a Decade Ago during President Mahama’s First Tenure in Office as an E-block.

This is part of measures to improve access to quality education within the District.
The School is Located with the Lambussie Township within the Upper West Region.

LAMBUSSIE COMMUNITY DAY SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL, UPPER WEST

The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) wishes to inform you that approval has been granted to Lambussie Community Day Senior High School in the Lambussie District to run as Day/ Boarding school.

By a copy of this letter, the Regional Director is requested to put the necessary arrangement in place to post required personnel to the school.

The Head is therefore advised to contact the Coordinator of Free SHS for necessary arrangement with the Free SHS Secretariat.
