The Member of Parliament for Wa West Constituency, Mr. Peter Lanchene Toobu has drawn the attention of masses to a concerning cause of Poverty within our society.

In a Statement made on Social Media, He pointed to the research work that reveals that poverty is engineered by excessive childbirth.

Mr. Toobu, a Former Secretary to the inspector General of Police (IGP) released a list of countries affected by excessive Childbirth within the spheres of The world On Saturday, 27th – June – 2026.

“It appears there is a direct relationship between POVERTY & HIGH BIRTH RATE.”

“Conflict leads to poverty and in poverty birth rates are on the roof. Producing more children in poverty makes poverty cyclical as the future generation becomes poorer than their parents.” – He stated.

Parental care and responsibility has dropped grievously in Several parts of Upper West Region due to excessive Childbirth in our society.
