In a decisive victory that signals a new chapter for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Wa Central constituency , Alhaji Siddique Mohammed Lamin has been elected as the constituency’s new chairman. Leading Team Lamin, he secured victories in 10 of the 11 executive positions during the recent party elections, uniting the party and ending any lingering factional divides.

Addressing party supporters and delegates after the announcement, Mr. Lamin emphasized the importance of unity moving forward. “The election is over, and there are no longer rival factions within Wa Central. It is time for all members to come together and work towards our common goals,” he stated.

The highly competitive contest pitted Team Lamin against Team Bomson, with the former emerging overwhelmingly victorious. Despite the intense rivalry, Mr. Lamin praised Team Bomson for their sportsmanship and acceptance of the results, highlighting their conduct as a testament to the party’s commitment to unity.

Looking ahead, Mr. Lamin called on party members to focus on rebuilding and strengthening Wa Central ahead of the 2028 general elections. He expressed gratitude to God and the delegates for their confidence in his leadership and reiterated his commitment to advancing the party’s electoral fortunes in the constituency
