A Second and new DVLA Office has officially been Commissioned in the Upper West Region by the Chief Executive Officer Mr Julius Neequaye Kotey on Wednesday, 15th July, 2026.

The Tumu DVLA new station will not be using the ‘UW’ as unique identifier for Upper West, the Tumu office will use UT on their number plates instead.


‎In addition, the executive officer revealed in a statement that, so far, they have commissioned 22 new offices of DVLA including Tumu office since they started operating in the country.

Mr Julius Neequaye Kotey also cautioned that ‘goro’ boys to should not be allowed to operate in the office.

‎ Ge added that anyone around Tumu can come to register his or her driver’s license from tomorrow, 16th – July 2026.

‎Hon. Charles Lwanga Puozuing Esq., the member of Parliament for Sissala East Constituency, Hon. Mohammed Issah Bataglia, the Tumu MCE Hon Adamu Yakubu, the traditional authorities etc
