Madam Amina Haruna a business entrepreneur and the first Female president of TEIN- DHLTU officially ends her tenure as the branch president.
She drew the curtains as president on Saturday, the 25th July, 2026, in an event to usher in fresher’s and handing over of the leadership mantle.

The event which was held on DHLTU campus included the Mayor of Wa Metropolis (Hon. Alhaji Nura Issah Danwaana), Upper West regional youth organizer of NDC (Hon. Basiera Sankara), Upper West Regional Coordinator of TEIN (Mr. Maal- Eng Maxwell), Wa Central NDC Youth Organizer (Hon. Abdulai Ibrahim, alias Mba Oli), and the TEIN- DHLTU patron (Mr. Samadu Kamwine). The rest of the dignitaries were; Mr. Wasito an Activist of NDC, TEIN- McCoy College of Education branch, the CEO of Ideapath Consult, Soyeya Women Group, and students.
The Programme was well attended with seasoned Journalist and master of ceremony Mr. Morris Bannanwine gracing the occasion.

Speaker after speaker call for stronger and united TEIN- DHLTU. Various speakers admonished members to remain loyal and patient as they developed their career.
The Mayor of Wa Metropolis, urged young people to remained focused and engaged in evidence based political discussions. He lauded the government interventions such as furniture distributions, solar street lightening, and hostel facilities, and so on.
In her handing over speech, Madam Amina Haruna urged TEIN members and the new leadership to work with passion and dedication to grow the body in DHLTU.
Madam Amina Haruna stated that “Dear TEIN- DHLTU incoming leadership, let me share a world of advice, as a believer of Allah, I am always comforted by the words of the gracious Quran (Surah Al-Baqarah (Chapter 2), Ayah 286 (Lā yukallifullāhu nafsan illā wus‘ahā).”Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear”. This belief will continue to challenge you to stand more united, forgive each other, and work in unity. Let me add that, in politics you do not have to be friends to work together, you must prioritise party interest and collective good to working together”.
She further stressed that “I came here with a mission to do more and better every day, and I wouldn’t have done anything differently. Last year, I finished my speech by saying that “at the end of the day, this is all about the people and making a difference.” Today, I’m happy to say that by focusing on the people, I and my team were able to make a difference for our TEIN-DHLTU”.
Madam Amina Haruna tenure saw her remarkably enhance TEIN- DHLTU, established a strong network between TEIN- DHLTU and NDC starwalts and regional executives. More significantly, her tenure saw TEIN- DHLTU members issued with ID cards.

The event ended successful with certificate of service handed over to the outgoing executives.
