Paramount Chiefs and Queen Mothers have Commended Progress of works on the Dorimon E-Block Project located in the Wa West District of Upper West Region.

The Paramount Chief of Dorimon Traditional Council, Naa Alhaji Seidu Tungbani Salinbile II, along with Divisional and Sub-Chiefs, conducted a monitoring visit to the Dorimon E-Block, a facility that has been abandoned for nearly a decade. The visit revealed that work on the project is approximately 80% complete, with ongoing efforts to finish the construction.

During the visit, the Chief emphasized the strong community desire for a secondary educational facility, particularly a Vocational and Technical Center. He directed the contractor to ensure the project’s completion by the end of this year to meet the community’s needs.

Felix Neigor, Secretary for Construction Ways Limited, informed the Chiefs and Queen Mothers that the project is about 80% finished and is expected to be completed by October 2026.

He clarified that no additional work or value has been added beyond the original scope of the contract and that the current agreement does not include furnishing the facility with furniture.
Pognaa Saadia Mwingbang Senye l, the Queen Mother for Guo in Dorimon Traditional Council, expressed satisfaction with the quality of work and the progress made.

She noted that the Queen Mothers and the wider community are impressed with the development and emphasized that the new facility will greatly enhance education in the area, which currently lacks a strong Senior High School (SHS).
This project is seen as a significant step toward improving educational access and opportunities for the people of Dorimon and its surrounding communities.
