The Upper West Regional Police Command made a Major Arrest on the 6th of September 2026 along the Wa-Bole Enclave and Two Suspects were Arrested. Details by the Police Below:

1. Two suspects have been arrested for their involvement in trafficking and distribution of narcotic substances in the Region, resulting in the seizure of 192 compressed wraps of substances suspected to be cocaine (rock) and the arrest of two suspects.
2. Their arrest on 6th September 2026, followed credible intelligence received by the Police regarding the transportation of suspected cocaine from Kumasi to Wa through the Bole enclave.
3. Police said, they mounted surveillance along the suspected route and subsequently intercepted 26-year-old Abdullai Issac, a driver’s mate, at the ESP Bus Station in Wa. A search of his backpack led to the discovery of 192 newly concealed compressed parcels of a substance suspected to be cocaine.
4. During interrogation, one of the named customers, Iddrisu Kamaldeen, was subsequently arrested and he admitted to being a customer of Abdulai Issac.
5. The Police and officers from Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC), Wa, have collaborated on 14th September 2026, field test on exhibits was conducted in the presence of the two suspects, their family members, and the police. The substance tested positive for cocaine.
6. The two suspects Abdulai Isaac and Iddrisu Kamaldeen are remanded to reappear on 9th October 2026.
7. The Police say, they are continuing investigations and pursuing further leads to locate and arrest other persons mentioned in connection with the suspected narcotic trafficking network.
8. The Upper West Regional Police Command remains resolute in its commitment to protecting communities, disrupting organised criminal networks and preventing the trafficking and distribution of illicit drugs within the Region.
